While scanning GQ my eyes grew big with what was a cornucopia of men's fashion. I guess it's kind of fitting that it would be a Polo event in New York City's Governor's Island. I must confess, when I first glanced at the article I thought "What the hell is Ralph Lauren up to?" Boy was I wrong. The Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic is an annual polo match to benefit the Urban Zen Hope Help & Rebuild Haiti (HHRH) for relief of the earthquake from 2010. This event attracts the fashionable of New York and around the world.
This event is....wait for it....FREE to the public!!! One can bring a picnic basket and blanket. Bleachers are provided for those who want to watch the Polo match. While you're doning your blazers, white trousers and fedoras you will be able to sip on champagne.
This event is definitely on my bucket list for next year. Peep the Gents' attire...
